Strong partners

For more than 20 years the company Schick uses CNC machines of the company STAR for the production of their own products. However, the employees Frank and Ingo Liebhart, head of mechanical manufacturing at Schick, also use their own spindles to optimize the manufacturing process.

Application example Vollmer CHP 840/1300

Vollmer Maschinenfabrik GmbH from Germany uses an individualized Schick IS 6-1 for hollow-core grinding of circular saw blades in the CNC grinding machines CHP 840 and CHP 1300.

The IS 6-1 is offered there to the customer as an additional option to grind the hollow face of carbide-tipped saw blades at high speed and using special diamond tools.

Vollmer Group

The IS 6-1 is powered by a controller specially developed for Vollmer. This has a CANopen interface and can thus be fully integrated into the machine control.
